Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (or other oil of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1-2 teaspoon optional seasonings

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 425.
  • Cut off tough ends of asparagus (about 1-2 inches).
  • Arrange asparagus in a single layer on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Season with salt, pepper and any other seasonings of choice.
  • Mix with hands or tongs to coat asparagus with oil and seasonings.
  • Bake for 9-12 minutes in preheated oven.
  • Enjoy as a delicious side dish!

Notes

Note:
Cook time for asparagus spears will vary depending on thickness of asparagus and personal preference on texture (crunchy vs. soft). It can also depend on your oven as some ovens have slight variation. If you aren’t sure, start with 9 minute and sample for texture. You can use a baking sheet or Pyrex baking dish for oven roasted asparagus.
