2tablespoonextra virgin olive oil (or other oil of choice)
1teaspoonsalt and pepper
Preheat oven 425.
Cut off tough ends of asparagus (about 1-2 inches).
Arrange asparagus in a single layer on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
Season with salt, pepper and any other seasonings of choice.
Mix with hands or tongs to coat asparagus with oil and seasonings.
Bake for 9-12 minutes in preheated oven.

Note: Cook time for asparagus spears will vary depending on thickness of asparagus and personal preference on texture (crunchy vs. soft). It can also depend on your oven as some ovens have slight variation. If you aren’t sure, start with 9 minute and sample for texture.
