If you have never tried wagyu beef, you are in for the treat of your life. Wagyu beef burgers are the juiciest most flavorful burgers you will every try! Serve them up with a quick and easy side of Air Fryer Frozen French Fries or Air Fryer Tater Tots!

Originating in Japan, the Japanese wagyu burger has developed into a worldwide phenomenon and other popular versions such as American wagyu beef and Australian wagyu beef have become household names!

Wagyu beef makes an excellent burger but it is probably most well know as wagyu steak. Different delicious wagyu cuts include wagyu ribeye, wagyu filet, wagyu sirloin, wagyu flank steak and wagyu skirt steak.

Why this wagyu beef recipe works

Wagyu beef is super juicy and flavorful! And if you are a love of all things meat, you definably must try my Candied Bacon Jerky, sweet and spicy. You might even top your wagyu burger with this bacon!

You can cook wagyu beef burgers just as easily as regular hamburgers and you will have a delicious gourmet meal to enjoy! Speaking of gourmet, you probably need to enjoy your wagyu burgers with a Cherry Manhattan with homemade Bourbon Cherries. Just sayin!

The flavor of American wagyu beef burgers is so superior that you can literally eat this burger plain or on a simply hamburger bun. No condiments required! But if you do want to get fancy (cause I like to be extra), I recommend bacon, brie cheese, caramelized onions and fig jam! Enjoy with a delicious side of Roasted Asparagus.

    What is wagyu beef

Wagyu beef is a type of beef derived from specialty breeds of Japanese cattle. This beef is known for its extensive fat marbling and rich flavor. The cattle are raised on a special diet and in superior conditions to produce the best quality meat.

    What is Japanese wagyu a5

Wagyu beef is beef derived from specialty breeds of cattle raised in Japan. The translation of Wagyu is “Japanese Cow.” A5 is the highest quality rating awarded by the Japanese government.

The letter refers to the yield of the meat (how much meat on the cattle was usable). The number refers to certainly quality characteristics, such as marbling, color, firmness/texture and quality of fat (to name a few).

What are American wagyu and Australian wagyu?

Due to the superior quality of Japanese wagyu beef, wagyu cattle were first imported to the United States in 1975. The quality of wagyu is regulated in America and Wagyu cattle must be registered. This helps assure sustainability and quality of this delicious product, as well as the care that is provided to the cattle.

Wagyu was first important into Australia in 1990. From there, Australian Wagyu beef has also skyrocketed in popularity.

    Wagyu vs. kobe

Wagyu beef is beef derived from specialty bred Japanese cattle. Kobe beef is a variety of Wagyu beef from a select region of Japan, specifically the Hyogo prefecture whose capital city is Kobe. While both Kobe and Wagyu both originated in Japan, Kobe is only produced in Japan. Wagyu and Kobe are both considered superior quality cuts of meat with extensive fat marbling and unrivaled flavor

    Where to buy wagyu beef

If you are looking to buy your wagyu beef burgers or wagyu beef locally, Costco is a good option that often carries this type of meat. I also love Black Hawk Farms wagyu products. Their wagyu beef burgers are delicious. If you are interested in trying other wagyu cuts, you can’t go wrong. The flavor is superior! Use code AUBREY15 for 15% off your first order!
