Throwing a festive Easter get-together always starts with the food right? Ok ok. Maybe the kids hunting around for the Easter eggs comes first. But then the Easter Charcuterie Board!

This Easter Charcuterie board is a super fun way to entertain the adults and kiddos. And if you are looking for other delicious Easter desserts, you will love these Easter Cookies (with M&M’s and Chocolate Chips!), Brownie Blondies and perhaps an Espresso Martini with Baileys for the adults?

One of my favorite tricks of the trade for this delicious candy board, is to run by your local Dollar Store or Dollar Tree to grab all of your Easter candy at a bargain!

And before you come for me! Charcuterie (pronounced “shahr-ku-tuh-ree”) originated in France and is translated roughly as “pork butcher” and involves preparing and assembling cured meats.

This idea has developed to include other foods such as cheese, olives, nuts, spreads and fruits. If you want to make an epic charcuterie board, be sure to check out my Trader Joe’s Charcuterie Board.

Charcuterie boards have become all the craze and have even extended to fun ideas such a breakfast charcuterie boards, dessert charcuterie boards, taco charcuterie boards and various holiday charcuterie boards.

So, basically anything artfully arranged on a wooden board is sometimes (and perhaps, incorrectly) referred to as a charcuterie board.

Now that we have that out of the way, let me introduce you to the Easter charcuterie board, or more specifically the Easter CANDY charcuterie board. Are you excited yet!!!???

process shots for how to make Easter Charcuterie board

    Build a foundation

Place any bowls first. Then, place any larger candy (such as the large chocolate bunny and the lollipops around the edges). This sets your foundation.

From there, you will want to arrange your items in descending order focusing on next heaviest or large items.

The items should get gradually smaller and fill in the gaps.

    Create movement on the board

You want to utilize movement to create a beautiful board. Experiment with placing your bowls off-center in a variety of places on the board.

When placing the foods, you can create a combination of wavy patterns or more uniform placements. Don’t be afraid to play.

    Contrast colors

When placing your foods, contrast your colors indifferent areas of the board.

For example, if you have pink candy, you might place them near blue or purple candy instead of near the same color. This creates visual excitement.

    Vary sizes

Play around with placing larger items next to smaller items. You can also experiment with different sizes of Easter candy.

    Vary flavors

Depending on your preferences, it is always great to have a variety of flavors on the plate.

Use different chocolates, gummies, lollipops, marshmallow peeps etc. This variety is part of the fun of these Easter candy charcuterie boards.

Amounts and size of charcuterie board

The amounts of each item will depend on the size of your board and your taste preferences.

Don’t be afraid to grab a few extras so you have a full and bountiful Easter charcuterie board. Leftovers are always great!
