chocolate chip cookie recipe without brown sugar on a baking sheet
    1.  Preheat the oven to 350°.
    2. Melt butter (about 30 seconds in microwave).
    3. Combine wet ingredients (butter, sugar, honey (or syrup choice), vanilla and egg yolk.
    4. Beat until thoroughly combined. Add dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt).
    5. Mix with beater initially and then switch to mixing by hand.
    6. Dough will form crumbles and you can press them into a full ball of dough.
    7. Mix in chocolate chips by hand.
    8. Roll dough into smaller balls (9 large cookies or 12 small cookies).
    9. Small cookies: cook 9-11 minutes at 350°.
    10. Large cookies: cook 11-13 minutes at 350°.

Tip to Measure Flour: When you measure your flour, do not scoop it out directly as that can lead to using more flour than is needed.

To correctly measure your flour, give the flour a stir with a fork or a whisk to loosen it.

Spoon the flour into cup until it is heaping, then level with the flat side of a knife.
