    Why this recipe works

    • You can whip up this homemade salad dressing in less than 5 minutes!
    • The flavors are outstanding and unique. No more boring salads!
    • This dressing is super versatile. It doubles as a great marinade for chicken, sauce for grilled vegetables or drizzled over hummus.

    Recipe ingredients

    1. Cilantro
    2. Garlic
    3. Seasoned Rice Vinegar: Good seasoned rice vinegar brands that I use are Marukan Seasoned Rice Vinegar and Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar. You can typically find these brands in the Asian or vinegar/salad dressing section of most grocery stores. Many grocery stores also carry a store brand version of rice vinegar (ex: target).
    4. Red Wine Vinegar
    5. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    6. Salt and Pepper
    7. Optional: Crushed Red Pepper

    How to make this recipe

    1. Cut off cilantro stems and loosely chop cilantro.
    2. Press or dice your garlic.
    3. Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor and combine thoroughly.

    FAQ and Expert tips

Can I use the cilantro stems?

Yes! Most people are surprised to know that the cilantro stems pack a ton of flavor. If you have a very high powered blender or food processor, don’t be afraid to use the stems if you need to.

Can I use other types of vinegar?

I generally recommend seasoned rice vinegar because it has a subtle sweetness. However, you can also use white vinegar or apple cider vinegar. You can add a touch of honey if you would like that extra sweetness.

How long will this salad dressing last in the refrigerator?

This dressing will last refrigerated for 4-5 days.
