- Lime Juice: Fresh squeezed is recommended but can use store bought if unavailable.
- Simple Syrup: You can use pre-made simple syrup or alternatives such as brown sugar syrup, demerara syrup, honey, maple syrup or agave syrup.
- Bitters: You can use a few dashes of Angostura or aromatic bitters which adds a depth of flavor.
- Nutmeg: Optional
- Garnish: Orange or lemon slice and cherry (maraschino, Luxardo or amarena). You can also make homemade bourbon cherries!
Vodka Sour Cocktail Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar with ice. Pour in vodka, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup (maple syrup or honey), bitters and nutmeg (optional). Close lid and shake well.
