- Oil: I recommend a high smoke point oil such as canola, vegetable, grapeseed or avocado.
- Seasonings of Choice: See recipe card for seasoning ideas. This is one of my favorite all-purpose chicken seasonings.
How to cook chicken on Blackstone griddle
- Slice chicken breasts lengthwise into 2 smaller, thinner (flat) pieces.
- Rub chicken breasts with oil on each side. Sprinkle seasonings of choice evenly over both sides of chicken breasts.
- Heat Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat.
- Generously oil Blackstone griddle. Use oil squeeze bottle or Blackstone spatula to spread.
- Place the filleted chicken breasts on the griddle.
- Cook for approximately 3-5 minutes on each side (flipping halfway) until the chicken breasts reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Remove Blackstone chicken from griddle and allow to rest 5 minutes. Enjoy!

You can marinate the chicken for 30-60 minutes before cooking on Blackstone griddle.
Yes, you can use bone-in chicken, but keep in mind that it will take longer to cook than boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
Clean griddle or flat top after each use. Cool griddle below 300° F. Scrape food debris with spatula or straight metal scraper. Wipe down griddle surface with paper towel. Using a small amount of water, wipe again with a paper towel and dry completely.
