Ingredients for white chocolate liqueur
White Chocolate: I recommend using a high quality bar such as Ghiradelli Premium White Chocolate Baking Bar or Lindt White Chocolate Recipe Bar. You can also use white chocolate chips. The important ingredient you want to see is cocoa butter, not palm oil which yields a richer, creamier liqueur.
Heavy Whipping Cream
Milk: Whole milk, 2% or other milk alternatives such as almond milk, soy milk or oat milk.
Vanilla Extract: I love Trader Joe’s Bourbon Vanilla Extract.
Sugar: Granulated white sugar works best.
Vodka: Be sure to use a good quality vodka that you would drink.
How to make this liqueur recipe
- In saucepan, low/medium heat, heat white chocolate, heavy whipping cream, milk, vanilla extract and sugar (NOT vodka) until white chocolate is melted and combined.
- Refrigerate white chocolate mixture until fully cooled.
- Pour white chocolate mixture into a jar.
- Add vodka and shake thoroughly.
- Store white chocolate liqueur in refrigerator.
- Note: There are no unnatural emulsifiers in this liqueur recipe so you may see some separation when you refrigerate. When you serve the chocolate liqueur, shake in a cocktail shaker and everything remixes nicely.
How is this recipe different from Godiva white chocolate liqueur?
This recipe is quite similar to the Godiva version. However, because it is homemade, it contains all natural ingredients that you select with no additional additives.
