    Ingredients

raw bacon to cook on Blackstone griddle.

Bacon: Regular, center or thick cut bacon all work well for this recipe. Regular, hickory and applewood smoked are also great choices.

How to cook bacon on Blackstone griddle

how to cook bacon on Blackstone griddle.
    1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat (approx. 400 degrees F°).
    2. Place bacon on Blackstone griddle. Do not crowd.
    3. Cook bacon for approximately 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes. Depending on the thickness of your bacon you can continue to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes (flipping as needed) until your bacon reaches your desired level of crispiness.
    4. You can use a Blackstone bacon press or Blackstone spatula to periodically press down the bacon.
    5. Remove bacon from Blackstone flat top griddle and place on plate covered with paper towel. This will help soak up any unwanted bacon grease. You can also lightly press the top of the bacon with another paper towel if you want to remove additional grease.

Blackstone Bacon Storage and Reheat: Bacon can be stored in an airtight container or plastic baggie for 2-3 days. Reheat bacon in microwave or air fryer.

    Blackstone bacon press

The Blackstone bacon press is a great way to get extra crispy bacon!

This handy tool is made of heavy-duty cast iron and serves multiple purposes when cooking bacon on a Blackstone Griddle.

Its primary function is to apply pressure to the bacon as it cooks, ensuring even cooking and helps prevent it from curling or shrinking excessively.

By maintaining optimal contact between the bacon strips and the cooking surface the result is a more uniform browning and crispiness (and allows the fat to render).

The Blackstone bacon press can also be used when cooking Blackstone Smash Burgers, steaks, paninis, sansiwches and sausage – to name a few!

What to do with Blackstone bacon grease

Leftover Blackstone bacon grease can be reused or safely discarded. Bacon grease is packed full of smoky flavor and is great to sauté vegetables, eggs or pretty much anything!

To reuse bacon grease, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any solid particles (if it is too dirty, you should not use).

Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 3-4 days.

Alternatively, if you prefer to discard the bacon grease, be sure to do so safely. Pouring hot bacon grease down the drain is a recipe for disaster and can clog pipes and cause plumbing issues over time.

Pour the grease into a heat resistant container and allow the grease cool and solidify. Scrape it into a disposable, sealable container and dispose of it in the trash. You can also use an oil solidifier for easier disposal.

    Blackstone bacon temperature

The best Blackstone bacon temperature is medium-high heat which is approximately 400 degrees F°.

It is important to note that certain parts of your Blackstone griddle may be hotter than others as the temperature is not always perfectly even across the whole surface so move your bacon on Blackstone griddle around accordingly.

    FAQ and expert tips

    Blackstone bacon recipe.
How to prevent bacon sticking to Blackstone

Generally bacon renders a significant amount of fat so bacon sticking to the Blackstone is usually not an issue. However, if you do find your bacon sticking to the Blackstone, using your spatula, gently scrape the bacon and move to a part of the surface where some of the bacon grease has rendered.

What does a Blackstone bacon press do?

A Blackstone bacon press allows you to apply pressure to bacon as it cooks on the flat top surface. This allows for more even cooking, reduced curling and a more uniform crispiness.

How long to cook bacon on Blackstone griddle

Cook bacon on medium-high heat for approximately 8-10 minutes on the Blackstone griddle, flipping halfway. Cook an additional 1-2 minutes if necessary to reach desired crispiness based on thickness of bacon.

How to clean Blackstone bacon press

To clean a Blackstone Bacon Press, allow it to cool completely after use. Wash it with warm, soapy water, using a sponge or cloth to remove any residue. Rinse thoroughly, dry completely and store in a clean, dry place.
