- Canned Cinnamon Rolls: Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (Cinnabon), Safeway Signature Kitchen’s, Grand’s cinnamon rolls, Immaculate Baking Co. cinnamon rolls, Annie’s cinnamon rolls, King Arthur Flour cinnamon rolls, Walmart Great Value cinnamon rolls, Aldi cinnamon rolls, Trader Joe’s cinnamon rolls, Safeway Private Selection cinnamon rolls, Simple Truth cinnamon rolls, and Kroger cinnamon rolls (Fry’s).
- Butter or Cooking Oil: High heat oils such as vegetable, grapeseed, safflower, peanut or canola oil work best. Olive oil is also fine but not my top choice.
How to make cinnamon rolls on Blackstone
Instructions
- Preheat Blackstone griddle to low heat (approximately 350°F).
- Open can of cinnamon rolls, separate each roll and place them all on a plate.
- Apply butter or cooking oil to pre-heated Blackstone griddle.
- Place each cinnamon roll on the Blackstone griddle allowing enough space between each for smashing the cinnamon rolls.
- Grease a piece of parchment or waxed paper. Place greased side down on each cinnamon roll and smash the cinnamon roll with a Blackstone burger smasher or spatula.
- Peel the greased parchment or waxed paper off the cinnamon roll and repeat until all cinnamon rolls are smashed.
- Cook Blackstone cinnamon rolls for 2-3 minutes or until first side is golden brown. Flip and cook cinnamon rolls for an additional 2-3 minutes or until second side is golden brown and cooked through. Note: If you have a cover or dome, that will help with cooking.
- Remove Blackstone cinnamon rolls from Blackstone griddle and drizzle with cinnamon roll icing/frosting that comes with package or Cream Cheese Cinnamon Rolls Frosting.
- Optional: Sprinkle Blackstone cinnamon rolls with crumbled pieces of Blackstone Bacon.
