Pancake Mix (Option 1)
- Pancake Mix

Homemade Pancake Batter (Option 2)
- Flour
- Sugar: White granulated sugar is recommended. You may also substitute honey, maple syrup, agave or alternative sweetener of choice.
- Baking Powder
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Milk: 2%, 1%, fat free, whole or milk alternative such as almond milk, oat milk, pea milk, soy milk, cashew milk or macadamia nut milk.
- Butter
- Vanilla Extract
- Eggs: You may substitute a flax egg if you wish to make these vegan Blackstone pancakes.
Oil for Blackstone Griddle
- Oil: High heat oils such as vegetable, grapeseed, safflower, peanut or canola oil work best. Olive oil is also fine but not my top choice.
How to prepare pancake batter (mix or homemade)
Boxed Pancake Mix Batter
- Prepare according to box instructions.
Homemade Pancake Batter
- In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Add milk, butter, vanilla and egg. Mix until smooth (a few lumps is fine).
- Batter should be thick and creamy. If batter is too thick, add additional milk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
How to cook pancakes on a Blackstone griddle
Blackstone Pancakes on Griddle
- Preheat Blackstone griddle flat top or Traeger flatrock griddle grill to medium heat.
- Generously oil Blackstone griddle. Use oil squeeze bottle or Blackstone spatula to spread.
- Using Blackstone pancake dispenser or measuring cup, pour ¼ to⅓ cup batter for each pancake onto the Blackstone griddle.
- Cook for approximately 1-2 minutes. You will see bubbles on top and bottom edges are looking cooked.
- Flip pancakes with spatula and finish cooking until golden brown (approximately another 1-2 minutes). Do not press down on pancakes if you want them to be fluffy.
- Serve with Starbucks pumpkin sauce, butter, Air Fryer Bananas, honey, maple syrup, fruit, yogurt or whipped cream.
